Dear Educator, Welcome to TVN website! We have dedicated this tab to you, the educator, in hopes of assisting you in expanding your resources, tools, and creativity for and in the classroom. What follows are any number of books, films, youtube clips and documents. The first essay was inspired by a real life tragedy associated with one of our founders. The essay offers you and your classes a chance to look at gang violence through a different lens and to use the essay as a teachable moment and document. It's an example of an adult shifting the balance of power by taking risk to show his vulnerability and “speak truth to youth.” We hope the essay and the accompanying resources provide you with a new or different perspective and that you find some value in what we have made available. We also look to continue to build out the capacity of this tab and welcome any suggestions you may have for improvement, accessibility and additions. Thank you. |
